Earlier today, a video was posted on Vimeo showing James Van Der Beek and Katie Sackhoff in a very dark, very violent, and, if you caught it, very NSFW version of Joseph Kahn’s interpretation of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, creatively released as Power/Rangers.
The video, which is only about 15 minutes long brought back the Rangers in what would be a Tarantino-esque mind-bender that saw all of the Rangers murdered, one by one. With Katie Sackhoff playing Kimberly, the Pink Ranger being interrogated by James Van Der Beek playing Rocky, it’s a battle of wits that ends in a very surprise twist.
But just as fast as it came out on Vimeo, it was brought down just as fast. Maybe it was the high traffic, maybe it was the adult content..whatever the reason, there’s a new “safe” version that was released on YouTube. You can see it here:
