Activision’s Destiny has been out for almost a year and a half now and it’s seen a lot of praise for it’s gameplay and criticism over it’s progression, mostly thanks to it’s DLC. While fans wait for a new experience in the game, including new missions, quests loots and adventures, it’s been confirmed by Activision’s fourth-quarter financial report that a sequel is happening possibly next year.
While the sequel may not be known simply as Destiny 2, it looks like developer Bungie has taken quite a few notes about the do’s and don’ts of what to do in the next game which include not releasing smaller dlc packs like they did with The Dark Below, House of Wolves, followed by The Taken King. Instead the new focus for Bungie is to release one expansion and one new game every year, which will begin this year with another expansion for the game followed by a new title next year.
Currently Destiny is available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
