About 10 years ago, The very first High School Musical was released and became a hit movie that created two more sequels, now Disney Channel is getting ready to step back into the universe one more time. A nationwide casting search starts today for High School Musical 4, which will continue the story of the past films. The fourth film will introduce new East High Wildcats and their school rivals, The West High Knights.

Jeffrey Hornaday (Teen Beach Movie, Teen Beach 2) is attached to direct and choreograph the movie with casting directors Jason La Padura, Natalie Hart, and Kendra Patterson. Dan Berendsen (Teen Beach 2) and Peter Barsocchini (High School Musical) are set to pen the screenplay with Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush returning as executive producers.
