NO BIG SPOILERS HERE: I really loved this movie and can’t wait to see it again. As a big DC Comics fan, it’s great to see the Justice League in action. The film has humor, heart, heroics, and leaves you feeling totally in love with this group of heroes. The actors did a great job of bringing these characters to life, and made us care about each and every one of them. Is this movie perfect? No it isn’t. But what movie is? I laughed, I almost cried, I cheered, I had fun, and I was thoroughly entertained. So guess what? This movie did everything a superhero movie is supposed to do.
Since this is a Spoiler Free review, I can’t say what I really liked and didn’t like about this film. But what I can say is that I really liked seeing Wonder Woman in action again. And seeing how she interacts with the rest of the group. The Flash and Aquaman win the best new hero award. They were both standouts in their own way. And though Cyborg could have used a bit more screen time, what we saw of him was interesting and left us wanting more. There were some very nice Batman/Bruce Wayne moments. And even some cool moments with; Lois Lane, Mera, Alfred, and Barry Alan’s imprisoned Dad.
If you want to know if Superman is in this movie, I won’t tell you because that would be a spoiler. But this is a Justice League movie, so derive from that what you will. I don’t know what the fancy-shmancy film critics will think of this movie, but the audience I saw it with really liked it. And when I asked friends about their favorite scenes, they all had different answers. Which speaks to how many great moments there are in the film. It’s brighter, more hopeful, and more fun than the previous Zach Snyder films. And there could have been more of (Blank), and a more complex villain. But bottom line: I think you’ll dig it!
Stay till the end credits and you’ll be rewarded twice. The movie is only two hours long, which works. But hopefully we’ll get some cool deleted scenes in the inevitable blu-ray release. Because some of the cool scenes we saw in the trailers didn’t make the final theatrical cut. – Let me know what you think. Walter Out!
