METROPOLIS: Lois Lane Gets Her Own Show

From executive producers John Stephens and Danny Cannon, who gave us “Gotham” minus Batman,  we get Metropolis, a series minus Superman.  The 13-episode series, premiering on DC’s upcoming digital service, will take place BEFORE Clark Kent comes to town.  It will follow Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as they investigate the world of fringe science and bizarre goings-on that take place in a pre-Superman Metropolis.  We don’t know yet if they will be enemies or allies, but anything’s possible. No cast members have been announced, but it will be interesting to see who they select to fill these iconic roles.  Also, will the show include other Superman regulars, like Jimmy Olsen, Lucy Lane and Perry White?  Only time will tell.

I feel sorry for my pal Superman though.  This is the second show based on his mythology that he’s not in.  Remember that KRYPTON is premiering on the SY-FY channel in March, and that takes place before he was born.  While METROPOLIS takes place before he got there.  And Superman has only appeared on the Supergirl Series three or four times.  And he was treated badly.  So how about showing some love for the big blue boy scout and announce Man Of Steel 2 already!  I am so ready for that!!!!

Other shows on the DC digital service include: A live action Teen Titans series, called Titans.  The new third season of the animated series Young Justice.  And an animated Harley Quinn series.  Looking good DC!!!!
