As I’m sure you already know, the deal between Sony and Disney which allowed Spider-man to be in the MCU ended, and was not extended.  So for now, it looks like Spidey won’t be web-slinging with his Marvel buds going forward.  But a new deal is always possible.  So it ain’t over just yet y’all.

But going forward with the notion that Spider-man won’t be in the MCU, Entertainment Weekly talked to Tom Holland at D23, and he continues to be a class-act and has the right attitude about all this…

“Basically, we’ve made five great movies. It’s been five amazing years. I’ve had the time of my life. Who knows what the future holds? But all I know is that I’m going to continue playing Spider-Man and having the time of my life. It’s going to be so fun, however we choose to do it. The future for Spider-Man will be different, but it will be equally as awesome and amazing, and we’ll find new ways to make it even cooler.”

And while onstage for D23’s  ONWARD presentation, Holland had this to say to the fans…  “It’s been a crazy week, but I want you to know from the bottom of my heart that I love you 3000.”

You gotta love this guy!!!!
