According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zach Snyder has added Jared Leto’s Joker to the HBO Max version of  the Snyder Cut. Additionally; Ben Affleck’s Batman, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, and Amber Heard’s Mera are already filming new scenes for the series/movie.  Proving that the “Snyder Cut” wasn’t this finished thing that was ready to drop, as some claimed.

So what’s next, will Ryan Reynolds be added as Green Lantern?  Well that’s my guess.  I expected that jaw-dropping announcement to be made at DC Fandome.  And I still think it’s possible.

Jared Leto’s Joker appeared in The original ‘Suicide Squad’.  Though I hear most of his work ended up on the cutting-room floor.  So does this mean that HBO Max might shine a green light on a director’s cut of that film as well?  Only time will tell.

But if Zach Snyder’s Justice League makes a big enough splash, expect the HBO Max flood gates to open.  And who knows what will spill out; maybe a Ben Affleck Batman series, or the David Ayer’s cut of Suicide Squad.  Or!  Maybe the ripple effect will even be big enough to bounce Henry Cavill’s Superman back to the big screen.

LAST WORD:  I wasn’t a big fan of Jared Leto’s Joker in the suicide squad.  But maybe that’s because the character was sidelined in that film.  So I’m interested in seeing what Zach Snyder wants to do with him.  Also, it proves that Warner Bros is still in bed with Zach Snyder, shoveling tens of millions into his vision,  so the Snyder-verse isn’t dead just yet.  #HenryCavillSuperman.
