Here we go again. Seems like we can’t escape the details of Star Ways Episode VII no matter how hard we try…although, I don’t know why you would want to escape news like this. The production team took a visit to Skelling Michael Island in Kerry, Ireland, recently, in which there are some questions we are left with. After shooting took place last month with Mark Hamill and possibly Daisy Ridley, J.J. Abrams is scheduled to head back in November. But why? According to Latino-reviews.com, it’s because this location is also the Sith Homeworld in the movie. We don’t know how reliable this information is because it seems to be a mixture of inside information and speculation.
They go on to say that,
“Like in the Expanded Universe, the Sith were founded by a Jedi who practiced moral relativism thousands of years ago (a long LONG time ago in a galaxy far, far away). He met up with Plagueis and started going by the Sith name Darth Ruin. He split off to unite the Sith tribes under the Dark Side of The Force. I don’t know if all of that is going to be in the movie, but it’s going to get called back as we’ll have a new Ruin in the movie, whomever fancies himself the biggest threat (might this be my “Sith Inquisitor?”). – Latino Review
The Sith Homeworld seemed to be in the re-tooled Michael Ardnt version of the script and the stone hut ruins are to be used as a control center since the planet itself could be a giant weapon. Could this be what the Death Star was based off of? The report also included a claim that Domhnall Gleeson will not be playing Luke Skywalker’s son, even though speculation points other wise.
