Is an X-Men Star the Frontrunner for a ‘Star Wars’ Spin-off?
Story By Jay Casas
News from the Star Wars front as Latino-Review revealed that the first standalone Star Wars film will in fact revolve around Boba Fett and Han Solo. “The plot of Gareth Edwards’ first standalone flick was that it would tell the tale of Boba Fett and his gang trying to retrieve plans for the first Death Star. Now some new information reveals Han Solo and his iconic ship, the Millennium Falcon, will appear as well.”
ikwiz.com has also revealed which actor is rumored to play the legendary bounty hunter. Sources say “Michael Fassbender is the frontrunner to be Boba Fett, fact!” As to how Boba Fett reappears after Return of the Jedi, the website say “Boba Fett is a mantle. The name, the ship and the armor gets passed down to a successor. That’s how he is brought back for the films and explains the character for later stories. Fett fans are in for a few surprises. They (Disney) get the cult status of the character, so you’re going to see more Boba Fett in the future.”
Recent reports have mentioned actresses screen testing for the female lead including The Theory of Everything’s Felicity Jones, Pan’s Rooney Mara, House of Card’s Kate Mara, and Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany. As to who might play young Han Solo, rumors suggest Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul is the top choice to play the outlaw.
The first standalone Star Wars film is set for December 16th, 2016.
