It’s official!  All the DC Comic-themed shows will be back this fall, plus two.  Late Wednesday night, Gotham and iZombie got the green light for the new season, joining returning shows; Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, Lucifer, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, which had already been renewed for 2017-2018.   And added to the mix is the new Man Of Steel prequel,’Krypton’ on the SyFy Channel.  And the superhero series ‘Black Lightening’ joins the good guys on the CW!

“Black Lightning centers on Jefferson Pierce, born with the ability to create and manipulate electromagnetic fields.  He hung up his super-suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter hellbent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning.”  It’s unclear if Mister Lightening will be part of the existing DC shared universe, or if he’ll be his own thing.  But I’m betting that Black Lightening fits into the current multi-verse, which would allow for crossovers and superhero guest stars.  But we’ll have to wait and see.  STAY TUNED!!!

Here’s the network breakdown:

CW:     Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, iZombie.

FOX:   Gotham, Lucifer

SyFy:  Krypton – This series follows The Man of Steel’s grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton.
