Actually, I think he’ll mostly be Bruce Wayne, but same difference. You saw Bruce Wayne lurking in the shadows during Titan’s 1st season, always just out of sight.  But looks like Robin, or Nightwing, will finally get to resolve his Bat-Daddy issues, now that Iain Glen has been cast in a recurring role.  (TITANS streams on DC UNIVERSE.)

In a recent interview, Producers told ‘DEADLINE’ that Glen will play an older version of the character, “decades” into his career as Batman. “Billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”

In the series, as in the comics, Robin and Batman go through a very tumultuous phase in their father/son dynamic.  As Dick Grayson struggles to find himself and become his own man. He ditches Robin’s tights, and with the help of his fellow Titans, he becomes the formidable new hero named Nightwing; sidekick no more.
