{UPDATE: Shortly after I made this post, Disney World / Universal Orlando / Disneyland-Paris, announced closures}

Hold on to your butts, this just got real!  Theme Parks are closing, conventions and movie releases are being postponed or canceled. So before you plan ANYTHING, I’d check to make sure what’s open and what’s not, if I were you.

Disneyland and California Adventure are closing Monday, March 16th. And Universal Studios -Hollywood is going dark Saturday, March 14th.  And though the parks plan on reopening by the end of March, I’d recommend adopting a wait-and-see attitude before rescheduling your vacations.  Also, as of this minute, Disney World and Universal Orlando have NOT announced any closures. So they will remain open, virus be damned. (Though that could change)

  • And while these closures are due to coronavirus concerns, there have been no cases of the coronavirus reported at these parks!!!!

Movies that have been pulled from the schedule include; Disney’s Mulan, The New Mutants, A Quiet Place 2, and Antlers.  While the new 007 film has been moved to November, Peter Rabbit 2 has been pushed to August, and Fast & Furious 9 has been delayed a year!   (& there are others)

Also; Wondercon, CinemaCon, E3, South By Southwest, and Coachella, are either postponed or cancelled.
