ACCORDING TO “VANITY FAIR”: Ben Affleck will be playing the Dark Knight, alongside Michael Keaton’s Batman from the 1989 Tim Burton film, in what is billed by Flash director Andy Muscietti as a “substantial” part.
Ezra Miller is The Flash, and the Justice League movie did happen. So Ezra Miller’s Flash and Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman have history. And I’m assuming that this will be a multi-verse event, crossing many realities. (Thought: Will Henry Cavill’s Superman make and appearance as well?)
But just to be clear, Robert Pattinson is the Dark Knight in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. And in the new Batman franchise moving forward, sources say that Robert Pattinson is the new face of Bruce Wayne.
Flash Director, Andy Muschietti, tells Vanity Fair this about Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman…
“He’s a very substantial part of the emotional impact of the movie. The interaction and relationship between Barry and Affleck’s Wayne will bring an emotional level that we haven’t seen before. “It’s Barry’s movie, it’s Barry’s story, but their characters are more related than we think. They both lost their mothers to murder, and that’s one of the emotional vessels of the movie. That’s where the Affleck Batman kicks in.”
Very interesting! I LIKE IT! But if Barry’s mother’s name is ‘Martha’ too, then I’m out. What do you think? We’ll learn a lot more on August 22nd at DC FANDOME, so don’t miss it.
