Ray Fisher is now lashing out against a writer who reported that he stepped away from The Cyborg cameo in the upcoming Flash film.  He claims that’s fake news. Even though on December 30th, Ray Fisher tweeted this about Walter Hamada, head of DC Films…

“… I will not participate in any production associated with him.”  Proclaimed Ray Fisher.

And, as the head of DC FILMS, Walter Hamada is directly associated with The upcoming Flash Film. So Ray, that sounds like you quit.  Because Walter Hamada isn’t going anywhere. In fact, Hamada’s contract was just extended three more years.

  • And I can’t say this often enough,  Walter Hamada was NOT the head of DC Films 3+ years ago when the Justice League Film was made. And he had nothing to do with Justice League.

But I digress,  here’s what Ray Fisher had to say about the reporter in question…

“I strongly suggest that … amend this article immediately. While I appreciate the reporter’s undying desire to do @wbpictures and Walter Hamada’s bidding—it is factually inaccurate. I did not publicly step down from anything.”

But you did Ray! You really did.  And, you made a big public stink about it too.  Then Fisher goes on to say…

“The idea of removing the role, rather than recasting it, is only being used to try to avoid public backlash.”

Though at this point, I think the only public backlash is against Ray Fisher, who keeps claiming misconduct without saying what supposedly happened.  And here’s what Warner Bros. had to say about the investigation into Fisher’s unspecified JLA Claims…

“The investigation was conducted by an outside law firm and led by a former federal judge,” said a Warner Bros. spokesperson in a statement to The Wrap. “More than 80 people were interviewed. We have full confidence in its thoroughness and integrity, and remedial action has been taken. The investigation has concluded, and it is time to move on.”

And I think that’s exactly right.  It is time to move on.  Ray Fisher needs to move on, though I doubt he will. So Warner Bros needs to move on from him, and stop responding to his rants.  And also,  re-cast the Cyborg Role, most people won’t even notice.
