PARAMOUNT+: The premiere episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is airing for free on youtube. This is a prequel show about the crew of the enterprise BEFORE James T. Kirk. Though you do see younger versions of some familiar faces from that original Trek series. Buff Young Spock is there of course, along with naive cadette Uhura, and sassy Nurse Chapel. And the ship’s captain is the suave Captain Pike from the original Star Trek pilot that was produced 55+ years ago. (That pilot was rejected by the network and they re-worked it with swashbuckling Kirk & Crew) So ‘Strange New Worlds is based on that first rejected pilot, but it is far from second rate. It feels fresh, fun, and like a return to old school Trek, without feeling dated… Check out the entire 1st episode for yourself…
