‘DC STUDIOS’ SPRINGS INTO BEING NOVEMBER 1st. And?…
DC STUDIOS: As you may, or may not, already know; James Gunn and Peter Safran have been tapped to head DC’s Film, TV, and Animation endeavors as co-chairs and co-CEOs of DC STUDIOS, a new division within Warner Bros. Discovery. And the appointments begin tomorrow, November 1st. So, do you think things will kick off with a BANG or a whimper? Will anything big be announced tomorrow, or soon after? Only time will tell. But Henry Cavill already quit The Witcher season 4, which clears his schedule for something, Could ‘Man Of Steel 2’ be further along than we’ve been led to believe? Come on James Gunn, WOW us, the ball is in your court!
Gunn and Safron take the helm of Warner’s efforts in the DC Film and TV universe, as the studio looks to create a more unified canon going forward. What that means for DC Animation isn’t entirely clear yet, but it seems to suggest that the new execs will play a role in the output from Warner Bros. Animation; which produces DC series (Harley Quinn, Teen Titans Go!, Batwheels, and the upcoming My Adventures with Superman ) and direct-to-video films, as well as the feature-side Warner Animation Group (DC League of Super-Pets).

So it looks like, as of November 1st, Gunn and Safron will be playing with all the toys in the DC toy-box. Let’s just hope they come up with something sensational. (Even if it isn’t Man Of Steel 2 right out of the gate. But I’m hoping it is)
