JAMES GUNN: ’SUPERMAN & LOIS’ IS SAFE…FOR NOW
While CW’s Superman and Lois doesn’t factor into the plans of DC Studios, Co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran have no immediate plans to cancel it.
Via Variety, Gunn and Safran said that they expect the show to run “one to two more seasons.” Gunn added that “It’s a show everybody likes, so it’s going to keep going for a little bit.” And that only makes sense when you consider the fact that Gunn’s new Superman film reboot won’t take flight until late summer of 2025. Why cancel the show now and leave the world without a Superman for 2 1/2 years? So I’m guessing that Superman and Lois will end after season five, before Gunn’s ’Superman: Legacy’ film premiers.
