HBO MAX: ‘HARRY POTTER’ REBOOT SERIES IN THE WORKS

HBO MAX: A streaming series based on the original Harry Potter books is close to becoming a reality. If they can get author JK Rowling to sign on. The general idea is that each season of the potential TV series would focus on one book in the Harry Potter book series. There were seven novels and I read every one.

Absolutely every role would be re-cast. And aspects of the books, which were left out of the movies, would be explored. Hopefully making the series relevant as it would expand on the tale instead of being just the TV version of the popular films.

But frankly, I’m not so sure that I am on board. The Harry Potter cast, and films, are so beloved, I’m not sure I want this. I’m not sure I’m ready to see another Hagrid or Snape, given that the original actors passed away not too long ago. Too soon maybe. But what do you think? Are you ready to see this story possibly retold as a streaming series? With a new Harry, Ron, and Hermione?
