After four weeks on the big screen, “The Mario Bros. Movie” has grossed $490 million in North America and $532 million internationally to loom even larger as the highest-grossing film of 2023. It’s also the first movie of the year to Join the BILLION DOLLAR CLUB.   And to those who say that success can’t be measured, I say yes it can.

Because Universal, Illumination Entertainment, and Nintendo have played this game and won big, It took The Super Mario Bros. Movie only 26 days to cross $1 billion, and it will once again win the weekend box office with ease. Alongside  being the 10th animated film to cross $1 billion, it’s also the 10th biggest animated film of all time. And the movie will continue to make money for weeks to come.
